Celebrate fall, and Hispanic Heritage month at these events

What's Happening Around the D this weekend

This article is sponsored by your Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers.

Celebrating Fall Flavors

have you ever been to The Henry Ford or Greenfield Village? It's a great time to go! September 28-29 and October 5-6 are the Fall Flavors event. Your experience will include traditional fall cooking demonstrations, a farmers market, expert talks with historians, farmers, and suppliers, farm work with steam and horses, seasonal and heirloom produce, and handcrafted goods.

Light Up Livernois

The annual event celebrates design and creativity on the historic Avenue of Fashion, and highlights small businesses in the area. You can experience cool Detroit  Design through open studios, fashion vignettes, and musical performances. There is construction still ongoing in the area so there will be shuttles available and walking groups to help people get around. It's free to attend and it starts on Saturday at noon at Teasers Boutique.

Founders Outer Limits

Beer and music combine this weekend for Founders Detroit: Outer Limits Party. The event is on Saturday from noon to 2 a.m. the next day! You will have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities! This is a 21 and up event. Tickets start at $20 and that includes your first pint. All proceeds will go towards the Gleaners Community Food Bank which has made September "Hunger Action Month."

Latin Trap Event

It's Hispanic Heritage month and we've got a great way to celebrate Latin pride! This is the first-ever Latin Trap Party at the Detroit Shipping Company. You will experience the best of the new Latin trap music genre with some authentic Mexican food and Detroit's very own tequila Cabresto. There will also be pop up shops and live painting. This is an 18 and over event. Admission is $5. The party starts at Saturday at 8pm.
