DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings have tied their series with the Anaheim Ducks at 2-2 thanks to a 3-2 overtime win Monday night in Detroit.
Damien Brunner got the game winning goal when he followed up a race to the net led by Gustav Nyquist, who had gotten the overtime winner in Game 2. Brunner buried the rebound to give the Red Wings a win before they head back to Anaheim for Game 5.

The Ducks opened the scoring when Matt Beleskey chased down his own rebound to push the puck past goalie Jimmy Howard.
Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller stood strong in the 1st period, stopping 13 shots. Anaheim had only 8 shots in the 1st. They clung to a 1-0 lead going into the 2nd period.
The Red Wings did not tie the game up until about a minute into the 3rd period. Defenseman Brendan Smith was credited with the goal. Anaheim responded with a goal from David Steckel, giving them a 2-1 lead midway through the final regulation period.
The Red Wings got a beautiful goal from Pavel Datsyuk who ripped one top shelf past Hiller to tie the game at 2-2.
Detroit had strong pushes in the overtime period. Then, Nyquist chased down a loose puck from center ice and forced it on night where Hiller couldn't hang on. Brunner capitalized on the chance to win it.
The teams meet Wednesday for Game 5 in Anaheim.
