Michigan put together one of the most complete games of the season Saturday and blew out a Rutgers team that was already bad before it lost its best player.

What better place to start than the final score? Michigan scored 11 touchdowns and a two-point conversion without allowing Rutgers to score a single point. It was the biggest blowout in an FBS game this century.

Eleven Michigan players carried the ball for a total of 481 rushing yards. Michigan had two players over 100 yards and averaged 8.6 yards on 56 carries. The performance vaulted Michigan into the top 10 in the country in total rushing yards.

Speaking of running backs, the Wolverines had four players who rushed for more yards than Rutgers gained as a team. Oh yeah, and none of those four players was Michigan's starting running back. Heck, one of them was a linebacker.

One more stat about Michigan's rushing attack -- the team rushed for a record nine touchdowns in the game, including two from Jabrill Peppers, two from fullback Khalid Hill and one from backup fullback Bobby Henderson. Backup running backs Karan Higdon and Ty Isaac also scored a pair of touchdowns apiece.

Have you ever seen a team get outgained by 300 yards? How about 400 yards? 500 yards? Well, Rutgers got outgained by five-hundred and sixty-one yards. The Scarlett Knights are fortunate Michigan took its starters out at halftime.

This is the number of first downs Rutgers earned the entire game. It took them more than three quarters of the game to move the chains for the very first time, and when the clock hit zero, Michigan won the first-down battle 23-2.

What happens when you can't pick up first downs? You punt. A lot. Michael Cintron will be in the ice bath all week after kicking 16 punts this weekend. But hey, at least he punted for more yards than Michigan gained (603).

Don Brown likes to blitz. Rutgers' offensive line doesn't like to block. That combination allowed Michigan to pick up 13 tackles for loss in the game, including four sacks. Taco Charlton had two sacks, Ben Gedeon had two tackles for loss and 11 other players pitched in during the backfield onslaught.

Most FBS football teams, when given 17 chances to achieve a goal, would find a way to do so at least one time. But Rutgers, which faced 17 third downs against Michigan's defense, failed to convert even one of them. Some of the third downs came in long-yardage situations, but even when the Scarlett Knights weren't backed up, they couldn't extend drives.

One of the most amazing numbers from Saturday is zero -- the number of passes Rutgers completed over the line of scrimmage. The Scarlett Knights technically completed two passes in the game, but one was a glorified handoff on a jet sweep and the other was a quick-hitting screen pass. They tested Michigan's secondary a few times early in the game, but it certainly didn't work out for them.
