Another day, another huge pickup for Jim Harbaugh's 2017 recruiting class.
Michigan landed an elite recruit at a major position of need Thursday when four-star linebacker Jordan Anthony committed to the Wolverines.

"It was tenth grade when I first received an offer to play football for the University of Michigan," Anthony wrote in a commitment announcement on Campus Insiders. "I remember calling my parents to tell them about it, and just how excited they were."
Anthony is the No. 6 linebacker in the country and the No. 107 overall player in the class, according to 247 Sports. He is the No. 21 player in Florida, committed to Michigan out of IMG Academy. His high school teammate, top-ranked center Cesar Ruiz, committed to Michigan earlier this week.
With all three starting linebackers graduating after the 2015 season and Ben Gedeon graduating after the Orange Bowl, Michigan is in desperate need of linebacker depth. There's also a strong chance Jabrill Peppers will forego his final year of college eligibility and enter the NFL draft, opening up another starting spot on the Michigan defense.
Anthony is the first inside linebacker in Michigan's 2017 class, but joins Ben Mason (linebacker or fullback) and Josh Ross in the linebacker group.
UPDATE: Nation's No. 3 OLB Drew Singleton commits to Michigan
Michigan now has 25 players committed for the 2017 class, giving it the No. 4 recruiting class in the country, behind Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia.
Anthony had scholarship offers from 24 schools, including Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, Maryland and Iowa from the Big Ten.
