DETROIT – Detroit Pistons legend Ben Wallace was honored at the Palace last night as the Pistons wind down their final season in Auburn Hills.
Wallace reflected on playing at the Palace, and how it felt winning the 2004 NBA Finals there.

"It was something special to walk into this arena," Wallace said. "All I needed was the fans and my teammates behind me."
Wallace talked about how the Pistons upset the Lakers in 2004.
"We heard a lot of talk about how it was impossible to beat Kobe and Shaq," said Wallace. "There was never any doubt in our locker room."
"I remember leaving the Palace around 5 or 6 in the morning and the fans were still here," Wallace recalled about the night the Pistons won.
