Connor McDavid scored his first career NHL playoff goal Friday night as the Edmonton Oilers topped the San Jose Sharks, 2-0, and he did it shorthanded.

McDavid's blazing speed made this goal possible. Most guys going top speed wouldn't be able to snipe a perfect shot like this.
That goal put the Oilers up 2-0. Forward Zack Kassian actually scored the first Oilers goal shorthanded, too. It's probably not how the Oilers drew it up, but two shorthanded goals were enough for them to tie up this series before heading to San Jose.
Game 3 is Sunday night.
