CHICAGO – The Washington Nationals will take on the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Game 4 of the NLDS on Wednesday afternoon after their Tuesday game was rained out.
The showers came a little late, but the rain that soaked Wrigley Field and washed out Game 4 of the NL Division Series followed Tuesday’s forecast pretty closely.

Chicago leads 2-1 in the best-of-five series going into Game 4, now scheduled for Wednesday at 4:08 p.m. EDT. There is rain in the forecast for early in the day.
“Everybody was pretty much on the same page on this one,” MLB executive Joe Torre said. “You know, we all felt it wasn’t going to be enough playing time without rain.”
If the Nationals win Wednesday, Game 5 would be Thursday night in Washington. The winner of the NLDS takes on the Dodgers in the next round, scheduled to begin Saturday in Los Angeles.

Corn maze pays tribute to last year’s champion Chicago Cubs
This may be the corniest idea yet offered to pay tribute to the Chicago Cubs.
The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reports officials of the Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove have chosen last year’s World Series champs to be the subject for this year’s corn maze.
After the Cubs signed off on the idea, artists went to work creating an epic corn tapestry that features, among other things, the team’s logo and an image of the late and great Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray along with Caray’s catchphrase “Holy Cow.”
The 28-acre (11-hectare) maze will be open through late this month. But farm owner George Richardson says that anyone who misses it might have a chance to see it next year if the Cubs win the World Series this year.

Cubs fans are hoping to go wild as the World Series champions try to close out Washington in Game 4 of the NLDS. Rain is in the forecast and Jake Arrieta is set to start for Chicago — he hasn’t pitched since lasting just three innings Sept. 26 after tweaking his hamstring three weeks earlier.
