DETROIT – Multiple NFL teams are hoping they can bring former Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson out of retirement.
ESPN is reporting the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars have reached out to the Lions about trading for Calvin Johnson.

Chris Mortensen talked about the rumors on Mike & Mike this morning:
"What’s it going to take to get Calvin Johnson, who by the way has a base salary still on the books for $16 million? Calvin has been working out, I guess, but does he really want to play? Jacksonville’s ears are perked up. Chances are, I don’t think it happens.”
Calvin Johnson retired in 2015 and leads all stat categories for the Lions in receiving.

Earlier this year, Calvin Johnson voiced his frustration with the Lions during his career and even mentioned that he wouldn't come back if he had to play in Detroit.
“If I was to keep playing, I would have to play in Detroit, and that just wasn’t for me anymore," Johnson said.
Johnson was asked if he ever considered changing teams.
“I thought about it,” Johnson said. “I was stuck in my contract in Detroit, and they told me they would not release my contract so I would have to come back to them.”
