DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers will be without fan favorite Niko Goodrum this season after he reportedly signed with the Houston Astros.
Goodrum, 30, has spent the last four seasons with Detroit, at multiple positions. His best season was in 2019, where he hit .248 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs. He hit .214 in 90 games with the Tigers last season.

The Tigers non-tendered Goodrum in November, and the Astros deal is worth less than his projected arbitration salary.

Meanwhile, the Tigers have reportedly added some pitching help, signing Miguel Diaz to a minor-league deal worth $800K.
