I’m calling it: Pistons epic losing streak ends tonight vs. Jazz

When you’ve already lost 24 straight games, you’ve got nothing left to lose.

The Pistons will walk in to Little Caesars Arena tonight, looking to snap a 24-game losing streak, the longest in franchise history, as they desperately try to avoid breaking the all-time NBA record sitting at 28.

But don’t worry, you’ve heard it here first -- the streak ends tonight. The Pistons are going to beat the Utah Jazz.

The Jazz are 2-13 on the road this year and 10-18 on the season. They also played a game on Wednesday night in Cleveland and lost. They’re coming off a back-to-back. The Pistons haven’t played since Monday.

The Jazz are also without their best player -- Lauri Markkanen, and their other best player, Jordan Clarkson. Detroit started the day as a one-point underdog, but has since flipped to a 2.5 point favorite.

It’s all lining up. The Pistons should win tonight. They can win tonight. And like I said, they will win tonight. Put it in stone.

But let’s be clear. A win tonight means nothing. The Pistons are a disaster, from top to bottom. But at least they won’t have the record for the longest losing streak. We don’t need that on our hearts.

If the Pistons lose again tonight -- they might not win again until 2024.
