DETROIT – Detroit Pistons fans won’t be getting free wings yet again after the team lost its 27th straight game on Tuesday night vs. Brooklyn, breaking the NBA single-season record.
The Pistons had chances to win, and even had a lead in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to close the deal. Pistons guard Cade Cunningham did everything he could, scoring 41 points, with 37 in the second half alone.

The loss enters Detroit into the NBA history books as the sole record holder for the longest single-season losing streak ever.
The longest overall streak, through two seasons, is 28 games, held by the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pistons would tie that record with a loss on Thursday in Boston, where they will be heavy underdogs.
