DETROIT – The Detroit Lions posted the first look at their division championship banner hanging in the rafters at Ford Field.
The regular season doesn’t end until this weekend, but the Lions have already locked up their first division title since the NFC Central became the NFC North.
It’s been exactly 30 years since the Lions could hang a banner, and fans who go to Sunday’s finale against the Vikings will get the first in-person glimpse.
But the Lions already tweeted a picture of the North Division Champions banner, which is hanging right next to the Central Division Champions banner. You can see that photo below.
The Lions will host their first playoff game at Ford Field next weekend against (probably) either the Los Angeles Rams or Green Bay Packers.
