Feel the Bern: The question of the week is...

This has been an interesting week here in the Detroit area. Lions fans are still trying to get over the fact that their team is not in the Super Bowl. And getting over the fact that they were 30 minutes away from going to Las Vegas until an epic second-half meltdown is the toughest part. That half sent the Niners to the promised land. The question from Lions’ fans is...what went wrong? The answer: everything in the second half.

The next question of the week here in the area is about the Super Bowl. Lions fans have made some type of universal pledge. Many have made it clear they’re not going to watch the big game. No Super Bowl for them because the Lions are not in it. The Lions went 32 years without an appearance in the NFC Title Game and because they lost, you’re bailing out? But during those 32 years you watched? Makes no sense! The question here is what did you do during those 32 years when the Lions stunk? The answer is you watched the commercials?

And the final question is who’s going to win the Super Bowl? Let’s make it simple...Patrick Mahomes is the pick. We are sure that Brock Purdy is a fine quarterback who will one day shine along with Niner names like Joe Montana and Steve Young. But Patrick Mahomes is from a different stratosphere. Every time we think about Brock Purdy, we compare him to Patrick Mahomes. And we’ve come to the conclusion there is no comparison. Mahomes is Mahomes. So, Lions fans, pull your head out of the sand and tune into the Super Bowl to see if we are right. And if you don’t, we’ll see you again in 32 years.
