DETROIT – The one question Tiger fans want answered in the spring is: How will the Tigers do this coming season?
Well, we spent a week in Lakeland having a look for ourselves. And the answer to the question is, the Tigers will win the World Series this coming season!
It’s the same answer we give every year because no one remembers in October what you said back in February. Please delete this blog. Haha!
One thing we can tell you after being in Lakeland is this is a very tight group that really enjoys playing together. And that can help a team get off to a terrific start. And sometimes a terrific start is all a team needs to have a positive season.
The Tigers added pitching in the offseason, which they needed. They have lots of young arms that are coming back from injury, so that’s a wait-and-see situation.
One critical player that could really help is Javy Baez. He of the $140 million contract who hit .222 last season. But he has been front and center about his struggles. And maybe freeing himself of all that angst just might be what could carry him. And the Tigers.
A hot Baez in the middle of the lineup could help the younger hitters. But let’s clear one thing up. The Tigers will not win the World Series this coming fall. But they just might surprise some folks along the way.
