The NFL free agency negotiation period opened on Monday, with official signings starting on Wednesday.
The Lions drafted Swift in 2020, playing 40 games with Detroit before the team traded him to the Eagles after the 2022 regular season. The Lions decided to run with David Montgomery and rookie Jahmyr Gibbs, and it worked out pretty well.
Swift played in 16 games for the Eagles last season, rushing for 1,000 yards for the first time in his career, scoring six total touchdowns.
