DETROIT – The 2024 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear races into downtown this weekend.
The 34th event in Detroit history kicks off on May 31, with the main event on Sunday, June 2, through the streets of downtown.

How to get tickets
Friday, May 31 is Free Prix Day -- Gate admission is free of charge; a ticket is NOT required for venue entry.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday can be found here. The main race starts at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Who’s performing this year?
The Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear will turbocharge Cadillac Square in Downtown Detroit on Saturday night of race weekend with a powerhouse electronic music concert lineup on June 1.
After the Saturday racing action concludes on the Grand Prix track, the new Cadillac Square Entertainment Stage presented by Priority will come alive with back-to-back free concerts, including one of today’s top EDM performers. JVNA will get the Saturday night party started when she takes the stage at 6:15 pm before electronic music sensation ILLENIUM rocks the crowd beginning at 8:00 pm.
Located adjacent to Campus Martius Park, the Cadillac Square Entertainment Stage presented by Priority is featured in the new Grand Prix fan activation area down Woodward Avenue, just north of the racing circuit along Jefferson Avenue. The area will be open and accessible to fans for free throughout the May 31-June 2 Grand Prix weekend and visitors will be able to watch all of the non-stop racing action on track each day on the large video boards in Cadillac Square.
Parking and transportation
The following parking structures within the venue are NOT open for paid public parking during the event weekend: Millender Garage, Center Garage, Port Atwater Garage, Beaubien Garage, and River East Garage.
The only parking structure within the venue available for public parking is the Franklin Garage, located between Franklin Street and Woodbridge. Parking spaces are limited and sold in advance only. There are many surface lots and alternate parking structures located within the Downtown Detroit area available for event parking as well as public transportation options.

The Detroit People Mover
The Detroit People Mover is the best option for determining a parking location outside of the venue. By utilizing The People Mover, you can exit the transit system at the Renaissance Center station, putting you directly inside the venue footprint. There is no fee for riding the People Mover.

Qline
The QLine is a free transportation option along Woodward Avenue that connects Downtown Detroit with Midtown, New Center and North End. The QLine allows guests to park outside of Downtown Detroit during race weekend, and provides a free ride close to the venue, exit the transit at State Street.

Download the Park Detroit App for information on parking locations around Downtown Detroit. The app allows you to pre-purchase and reserve your parking. We suggest utilizing the Park Detroit App to determine parking locations, along with The Detroit People Move or QLine to get close to the venue.
Ride Share & Bus Drop Off Locations
There are three locations outside the venue that are designated as Ride Share drop off locations (Lyft, Uber, etc.) as well as bus and limo drop-off.
West Location - along Fort Street, between Washington and Shelby, between the 200 and 300 blocks of West Fort Street
East Location - Riopelle between Jefferson and Woodbridge

The Regional Transit Authority has launched a direct bus service from Detroit Metropolitan Airport to Downtown Detroit. Tickets and information are available at Detroit Air Express.

MoGo is a nonprofit bike share system with 620 bikes at 75 stations across six Metro Detroit cities. Designed for quick trips around town, MoGo is a fun, flexible, and convenient way to get to the venue.

What’s new at the 2024 Detroit Grand Prix
FRANKLIN GARAGE TAILGATING
Tailgating inside the Franklin Garage will be offered as a welcome new addition to the 2024 Grand Prix! Each tailgating package includes a vehicle parking spot assigned upon arrival on levels 2-6 of the Franklin Garage along with four General Admission tailgating tickets, providing access to view the on-track action below and on Pit Lane from the Franklin Street side of the parking structure. Franklin Garage tailgating tickets will also provide access to three General Admission Rooftop viewing locations inside the venue.
Note: Franklin Garage tailgating customers are welcome to bring lawnchairs, tables, coolers, and food to enjoy the tailgating experience inside the garage during the Grand Prix. Open- flame grilling will NOT be permitted within the parking structure.
GENERAL ADMISSION ROOFTOP VIEWING
The 2024 Grand Prix will now offer three rooftop viewing locations and a tailgating option. Each rooftop viewing area will offer unique views of the Detroit skyline along with the on-track action below, as well as a fun atmosphere all weekend long at the Grand Prix.
Center Garage - The Rooftop presented by Piston Group - located between Bates Street and Renaissance Drive will provide views of Turns 4-7 and the on-track action along the Detroit River.
Port Atwater Garage - located between Beaubien Blvd and St Antoine Street, will offer views of Turns 8 and 9, along with the entrance to the unique two-sided pit lane.
Franklin Garage - located between Franklin Street and Woodbridge, overlooks Turn 9 and is directly across from pit lane to provide a unique perspective of the teams servicing the cars during the racing action.
Each rooftop location will include large LED screens featuring the racing action. Food and beverage options will be available for purchase.
RESTRICTED ACCESS TO PARKING GARAGES
For the safety of our guests, and to reduce pedestrian traffic within garages inside the circuit, an admission ticket is now required to enter parking structures. Free public viewing is not permitted from floors within the parking garages.
FRANKLIN GARAGE PARKING
Enjoy the convenience of parking within the venue. The Franklin Garage is located between Franklin and Woodbridge streets; in close proximity to the Paddock, Grandstands 1, 8 and 9. Parking in the Franklin Garage is available to ticketholders all three days of the event.
Parking space is not reserved; location is assigned upon arrival and will not provide a view of the track. Overnight parking is not permitted. All guests will be required to present an admission ticket or credential, to access the parking structure.
GRANDSTAND UPDATES
A total of seven grandstands will be featured at the 2024 Grand Prix. Each grandstand location will be positioned along the 1.7-mile street circuit, offering a wide variety of views and options to enjoy the thrilling action on track. Each grandstand ticket provides a reserved seat location along with admission to the Paddock/Garage area. Grandstand tickets will not be valid for access to the General Admission Rooftop viewing areas, which is new for 2024.
Grandstand 3B will feature seven additional rows of seating. Row 1 remains the top row of the grandstand and Row 29 is located closest to the track, at the bottom of the grandstand.
Grandstand 3C will be replaced by the new Turn 3 Club, which now provides guests trackside viewing.
Grandstands 8A & 8B are now combined into one larger seating area, now known as Grandstand 8. Located inside the Paddock area, Grandstand 8 will be located on Atwater Street adjacent to Turn 8 on the racing circuit.
Comerica Bank Free Prix Day – the Detroit tradition will continue in 2024! FREE general admission seating ONLY in Grandstands 1 & 9 will be available for Friday, May 31. Seating in both grandstands will be available on a first-come, first-seated basis. Paddock access is NOT included.

CORVETTE CAR CORRAL EXPERIENCE
If you are a Corvette owner, you may want to consider the Corvette Car Corral Experience. Now sold as a package in 2024. Enjoy hospitality hosted by General Motors on the top of the Beaubien Garage and watch the on-track action below along Atwater Street, and views of the cars as they race through Turns 8 and 9.

Corvette owners will have the opportunity to drive their own personal Corvettes on the race circuit during the scheduled on-track parade laps.
TURN 3 CLUB HOSPITALITY
New for 2024 the Turn 3 Club is now located trackside in Turn 3 at the exit of the hairpin turn. Guests can witness all the on-track action and the most exciting Turn on the circuit from the comfort of a trackside padded-seat or a table in the Club while enjoying catered food and beverages. Beer and wine are included, other bar beverages available for purchase.
PIT LANE SUITES
The Pit Lane Suites at the 2024 Grand Prix will provide a premium hospitality experience featuring seating directly above the one-of-a-kind two-sided Pit Lane. Each suite pass features all-inclusive access to an executive bar and dining options from the chef-created menu in a relaxed lounge setting. Beer and wine are offered on Friday, and full bar service is available Saturday and Sunday. The suite is shared with other event attendees; pricing is per person. Specific suite within the structure is assigned closer to the event.
