DETROIT – We’ve still got some time before the Detroit Lions put on a show for the city, but I could not be more excited.
With a record-breaking 700,000 people in attendance during NFL Draft Week in Detroit, it has made the anticipation grow even more. During the draft, the Lions selected a promising new talent in Terrion Arnold, the cornerback who is ready to showcase his athleticism and versatility.
He will bring a dynamic presence to the team’s defense and is destined to make a meaningful impact.
It gets even better, too.
With Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes at the helm until 2027, the Detroit Lions are poised for greatness following their remarkable journey to the NFC Championship last year. Under their guidance, we can expect to see even more of the team’s blueprint, highlighted by the grit and determination that represent who the Lions are.
Some other spectacular moves that happened so far during the off-season: Amon-Ra St. Brown had a groundbreaking $120-million contract -- the most an NFL receiver has ever been given. And Jared Goff and Penei Sewell secured their futures with multi-million-dollar deals. Yes, Brad Holmes cooked up a lot, and he had every reason to do so.
With such talent and positivity circulating among the team, hopes are high that this will be yet another thrilling season. Keep an eye out on our very own Jameson Williams, too.
“He’s a man on a mission, and I am going to just leave it at that,” Dan Cambell said.
Just looking at the team’s roster, this group can be a threat to any team in the league. The NFL schedule was recently released, and the pre-season kick-off is scheduled for Aug. 8 against the New York Giants.
The first regular season game will be on Sept. 8 against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams at what I believe will be a sold-out stadium at Ford Field. The team is ready to display an electrifying performance in their new, vibrant Honolulu jersey -- so let the countdown begin.
