Report: Pistons sign Cunningham to 5-year, $226M max rookie extension

The Detroit Pistons locked up their start guard Cade Cunningham with a rookie max extension deal on Sunday.

The news was first reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Cunningham was entering the last year of his rookie contract.

The five-year deal is worth $226 million, according to The Athletic.

The Pistons are expected to hire J.B. Bickerstaff as the team’s new head coach.
