DETROIT – If you have an internet connection, you can watch the Detroit Tigers compete for a playoff spot for free on Wednesday.
Major League Baseball announced Monday that the Tigers-Rays game on Wednesday night will be part of their virtual ballpark series.
Fans from around the world can join the virtual ballpark for free on a computer or phone by clicking here. Just log into your MLB account.
The watch party will take place within a 3D representation of the game, with the actual television broadcast airing on the virtual park’s scoreboard screen.
Fans can create an avatar and chat with each other, or create a party with their friends.
The Tigers and Rays are the fourth game of the virtual ballpark series, after the Twins-Rays on Sept. 4, the Reds-Cardinals on Sept. 11, and the Giants-Orioles on Sept. 18.
Fans with cable, satellite, or streaming subscriptions can still watch the game as normal.
