Times announced for Tigers-Guardians playoff games in Detroit

Game 1 is Saturday in Cleveland

We finally know the start times for playoff games at Comerica Park in the American League Divisional Series.

The Tigers and Guardians will start their series on Saturday in Cleveland with Game 1 at 1:08 p.m., and Game 2 on Monday at 4:08 p.m.

Game 3 will be in Detroit with first pitch at 3:08 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, and if Game 4 is needed, first pitch is scheduled for 6:08 p.m. at Comerica Park on Thursday, Oct. 10.

If Game 5 is needed, the game would start at 4:38 p.m. in Cleveland on Oct. 12.

It’s the first time Detroit and Cleveland have ever met in the postseason.

Detroit went 31-13 down the stretch to earn a wild-card spot before sweeping AL West champion Houston on its home field to advance.
