DETROIT – Detroit Lions superstar pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson suffered a horrific leg injury against the Cowboys.
UPDATE: Everything we know about Aidan Hutchinson’s horrific leg injury
The injury happened in the third quarter, with the Lions blowing out the Cowboys, 34-6. Hutchinson sacked quarterback Dak Prescott but appeared to fall to the ground in pain before the play even ended.
Replays showed an awful looking injury to Hutchinson’s left leg. Trainers brought out an air cast immediately, and Hutchinson was taken off the field on a cart.
While the severity of the injury hasn’t officially been disclosed, it sure feels like Hutchinson will be out long-term.
Hutchinson is perhaps the most important player on the roster, and this injury is a crushing blow to the Lions' Super Bowl hopes.
He recorded sack No. 7.5 in this game, which leads the NFL.
Without Hutchinson, the Lions lack a prolific pass rusher.
