DETROIT – Detroit Lions Coach Dan Campbell had a hilarious response to Chris Christie saying he has “no class” because he ran up the score on the Cowboys.
The Lions ran a variety of trick plays to try to complete a pass to an offensive lineman during their 44-9 win in Dallas. It was a clear response to the controversial ending of last year’s matchup.
Christie, a Cowboys fan, took issue with the way the game was handled.
“That‘s Dan Campbell,” the former New Jersey governor said. “He‘s got no class. Never has, so it’s fine.”
After the Lions improved to 5-1 with a win over the Vikings this weekend, Campbell was asked about Christie’s comments.
“The last time that somebody called me classless, I was drinking wine out of a bottle, alright?” Campbell said jokingly. “But no, it‘s all good. I’m not worried about it.”
Campbell has plenty to be happy about right now. His Lions are 5-1 and in first place in the NFC North, thanks to the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Vikings.
