DETROIT – A Detroit Lions star flashed an impolite gesture at Green Bay Packers fans after being ejected for an illegal hit.

With 6:18 left in the second quarter of Sunday’s win in Green Bay, the Lions led the Packers 7-3. The Packers faced a second and 20 when Jordan Love lofted a deep pass down the left sideline to Bo Melton.

The pass fell incomplete, but a few moments later, safety Brian Branch flew in and speared Melton in the helmet. The hit drew a 15-yard penalty for a hit on a defenseless player.

Branch was also ejected from the game.

When he found out he had been ejected, Branch wasn’t pleased. He argued his case with the officials, and then flipped off fans on his way off the field.

I‘m not including video or pictures because this is a family website. But you’ll find them on social media if you search hard enough.

Several of Branch’s teammates had fun with the photos after the 24-14 win. Needless to say, this first-place battle added a bit more fuel to the Lions-Packers rivalry.
