DETROIT – The coach of the Green Bay Packers appeared to have some not-so-kind words for the Detroit Lions sideline after a touchdown in Sunday’s game.
The Lions were leading the Packers 17-3 coming out of halftime, and Dan Campbell chose to go for a fourth-and-1 from the 15-yard line instead of kicking a field goal to go up 20-3.
Jahmyr Gibbs didn‘t just move the chains. He blew through the Packers’ defensive front and into the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown that put the Lions up 24-3.
When the FOX camera showed Packers head coach Matt LaFleur on the sideline, he very clearly told someone to, well, “get lost,” we‘ll say. And it sure looked like he was staring at the Lions’ sideline.

The Packers were vocal leading up to this game that they didn‘t respect the Lions for “trying to embarrass” other teams. But it‘s hard to understand LaFleur’s frustration in this particular scenario.
Going for a fourth-and-1 with a 14-point lead early in the third quarter is perfectly justified -- especially for a coaching staff with a reputation for being aggressive.
Maybe LaFleur is just fed up with losing to the Lions on his home turf. This is the third-straight victory for Detroit at Lambeau Field, and the second-straight by double digits.
LaFleur complimented the Lions in his postgame press conference, but it looks like he’ll come to Ford Field next month with a little extra motivation.
