DETROIT – The Detroit Lions listed 10 players on their practice injury report Thursday ahead of their Sunday Night Football matchup with the Houston Texans.
At 7-1, the Lions have the best record in the NFC, but the schedule isn’t getting any easier as they face a road test against C.J. Stroud and the 6-3 Texans.
Everyone wants to see how the Lions defense looks with new edge rusher Za’Darius Smith, who was acquired from the Browns at the trade deadline.
But it‘s unclear if Smith will play. He‘s one of 10 players listed on the injury report. He‘s not hurt, but the Lions aren‘t sure if he’ll be ready to suit up in time for this weekend.
Offensive lineman Taylor Decker also joined the report with a shoulder issue.
Linebackers Malcolm Rodriguez and Jalen Reeves-Maybin didn’t practice at all Thursday.
Here‘s Thursday’s full practice report:
- Za’Darius Smith -- no practice (personal).
- Jalen Reeves-Maybin -- no practice (neck).
- Malcolm Rodriguez -- no practice (ankle).
- Taylor Decker -- limited practice (shoulder).
- Josh Paschal -- full practice (illness).
