DETROIT – The Detroit Lions listed four players on the final injury report before their week-14 matchup against the 9-3 Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football inside Ford Field.
The Lions are 11-1 and are riding a 10-game winning streak for the first since 1934.
Green Bay, who haven’t lost a game since Nov. 3 when the Lions went into Lambeau Field and took them down 24-14, come into the matchup with a three-game winning streak themselves.
The Packers have lost five of their last six matchups, with their latest win coming on Thanksgiving Day in 2023.
Last six matchups | Results |
---|---|
Nov. 3, 2024 | Lions 24-14 |
Nov. 23, 2023 | Packers 29-22 |
Sept. 28, 2023 | Lions 34-20 |
Jan. 8, 2023 | Lions 20-16 |
Nov. 6, 2022 | Lions 15-9 |
Jan. 9, 2022 | Lions 37-30 |
But the Lions are heading into the divisional matchup with 18 players on injured reserve, and after Monday’s practice, four players have been announced as out for Thursday Night Football.
Knowing that they’re dropping bodies on the defensive side of the ball, the Lions traded for defensive end Za’Darius Smith, signed linebacker Kwon Alexander, defensive lineman Jonah Williams, and hard-hitting safety Jamal Adams.
This week’s inactive players have been announced.
The team will be without three defensive players and offensive tackle Taylor Decker, which might be pivotal to the Lions' offense as former Michigan Wolverines No. 1 recruit Rashan Gary will look to feast.
Here’s the full injury report from Friday’s practice:
- Offensive tackle Taylor Decker -- out (knee).
- Defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike -- out (hamstring).
- Defensive end Josh Paschal -- out (knee).
- Nose tackle D.J. Reader -- out (shoulder).
Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m.
