DETROIT – A former Detroit Lions draft pick is having a historic first half in his return to Ford Field as the Buffalo Bills take a 21-14 halftime lead.

Allen entered the half, completing 14-19 passes for 254 yards and two rushing touchdowns to take a 21-14 lead, but Johnson was his favorite target.
Johnson caught four passes for 95 yards, three of which were for 20 or more yards.
He joins former Chicago Bears speedster Tarik Cohen (2018) as the only players to achieve such success.
The 27-year-old tailback was selected in the sixth round (186th overall) in the 2019 draft.
Johnson played two seasons with the Lions before the New York Jets signed him off waivers in 2020.
After a few seasons, Johnson signed with the Bills in 2023, where he was spelling starter James Cook.
With the Lions in a potential shootout, let’s see what the second half lintels in what pundits have called a Super Bowl preview between the two powerhouses.
