A Michigan basketball team beat a well-known coach who called them “Nobody U” and said he would win by 20 points.

Doug Gottlieb is well known in the world of sports for his time at ESPN, CBS, and Fox Sports. But you might have missed that he’s now the head coach at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, which is a Division 1 basketball school.

Gottlieb went on a rant about weak scheduling after a game last week and before his team hosted Division II Michigan Tech.

“Part of the reason I want to play better teams is it’s 2 degrees outside, snowing, like, I don’t really like the idea of ‘Nobody U’ coming in here, and I always tell them, ‘What do we learn playing a game where we win by 20?’ But there’s a methodology to it, and I’m going to have to adjust moving forward,” Gottlieb said.

Well, that didn’t age well at all.

Green Bay lost to Michigan Tech, 72-70, behind 30 points from Marcus Tomashek. Now Gottlieb is getting roasted across social media.

The Huskies have now won six games in a row, while Green Bay is 2-11.
