CHICAGO – The Detroit Lions listed five players on the final injury report before their week-16 matchup against the 4-10 Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
The Lions had their historic 11-game winning streak halted on Sunday (Dec. 15) during a home matchup against the Buffalo Bills, which was their second loss at home and their second of the season.
The Lions lost more than the game, and star running back David Montgomery will be sidelined until the playoffs when he will rehab his knee.
Joining him will be linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin who returned to practice this week.
He was placed on injured reserve after suffering a neck injury during the Green Bay Packers matchup, but now the franchise will have 21 days to evaluate him.
The Lions and Bears played in a memorable Thanksgiving Day game inside Ford Field when rookie quarterback Caleb Williams lost track of the game clock.
The blunder also cost former head coach Matt Eberflus his job.
The Bears are now riding an eight-game losing streak and sit at the bottom of the NFC North.

They may have a shot at snapping the streak, as the Lions are coming into the matchup with 22 people on injured reserve, most of whom are on the defensive side of the ball.
