DETROIT – Detroit Pistons rookie Ron Holland II and Utah Jazz veteran Jordan Clarkson got ejected from the game for “Squaring up” against one another.
During Thursday’s (Dec. 19) game inside Little Caesars Arena, with a 93-79 deficit, Pistons center Paul Reed made a contested layup and started flexing.

On his way back up the court, he bumped into Clarkson and point guard Collin Sexton.
Clarkson, feeling slighted, ran over and confronted Reed by shoving him in retaliation.
Reed was then in the middle of Sexton and Clarkson, who began to push each other when Holland and point guard Marcus Sasser ran to his defense, escalating the incident with 1:37 left in the third quarter.
Clarkston shoves Holland in the back as the squabble moves on, causing the two to get into their boxing stance like they will throw punches.
Before the two could officially throw hands with one another, Pistons head coach J. B. Bickerstaff and the other coaching staff jumped onto the court and held Holland back.
While being pushed back toward the Pistons bench, Holland can be seen yelling, “Let’s fight” in the direction of Clarkston.
The crowd was excited as the two teams had to be broken up, but the mere fact that no punches were thrown and both players got ejected was horrible.
The Pistons lost 126-119, but the outcome was not what was atop of fans' minds.
