DETROIT – The Detroit Lions have released their estimated practice report ahead of their NFC Divisional Round home matchup vs. the Washington Commanders.

According to reports, Tuesday’s (Jan. 14) walkthrough was considered an “Estimated practice,” but some big names did not participate.

The good news is that cornerback Terrion Arnold (Foot) and running back David Montgomery (Knee) were full participants.

The bad news for the walkthrough was defensive lineman Pat O’Connor (Calf), cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (Hamstring/illness), and guard Kevin Zeitler (Hamstring) did not practice.

Montgomery and Arnold’s return is considered miraculous, as they seemed to have been dealing with potential season-ending injuries at the time.

Arnold was seen leaving their Week 18 all-or-nothing matchup vs. the Minnesota Vikings being carted off the field.

He was later seen wearing a walking boot on his right foot during the team’s bye week, but he always said that he was playing this week, and his words seemed accurate.

Montgomery suffered a torn MCL in his right knee during the Lions' Dec. 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

We’re less than a month from the injury. Delaying surgery and opting to rehab in hopes of returning for a playoff push seemed to be the right decision ahead of the Commanders' matchup, as he’s a big part of the team.

“Fives' a big part of us,” said head coach Dan Campbell. “He’s a huge part of us, and to me, he’s a bell cow and somebody that is a tone-setter and a catalysts. So, there’s a place for him here. So there is a place for him in this game, and it’ll be good to get him back.”
