DETROIT – Six Detroit Lions players were listed on the practice injury report on Wednesday, and four didn’t participate at all with three days left until the playoffs.

The Lions finished the regular season 15-2 and received a bye through the wildcard round with the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

On Saturday night, they’ll host the No. 6 seed Washington Commanders at Ford Field in the divisional round, with a chance to advance to the NFC Championship Game for the second-straight season.

The week off certainly helped the Lions get a little healthier after an injury-ravaged season. But there are still a few players dealing with issues.

Here’s the practice report from Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025:

  • Taylor Decker (personal) didn’t practice.
  • Pat O’Connor (calf) didn’t practice.
  • Ennis Rakestraw (hamstring and illness) didn’t practice.
  • Kevin Zeitler (hamstring) didn’t practice.
  • Terrion Arnold (foot) was a full practice participant.
  • David Montgomery (knee) was a full practice participant.

It’s great to see Arnold -- who got hurt in the final game of the season against the Vikings -- and Montgomery -- who’s been out since the Week 15 loss to Buffalo -- listed as full practice participants for the second day in a row.

Zeitler, like Arnold, went down with an injury in Week 18. The Lions are hoping to have him and Decker back to form a fully healthy offensive line.

Head coach Dan Campbell said the outlook for O’Connor isn’t positive after he, too, got injured against the Vikings.

Rakestraw, the rookie defensive back who’s played mostly special teams this season, could give the Lions some depth in a secondary that’s suffered several losses due to injury.
