The victory for the Bucks is their seventh consecutive, as they’ve secured the No. 5 seed by defeating the Pistons three times this season. They’ll take on the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The Pistons will head to Madison Square Garden to take on the No. 3 seed New York Knicks, whom they just defeated 115-106 on Thursday, April 10, 2025, inside LCA.

Detroit won the season series 3-1 over the No. 3 seed Knicks, with Cade Cunningham making history in Thursday’s victory in the process.

Cunningham became the youngest player in franchise history to average over 25 points per game in a season.

The Pistons had only two players at age 23 to achieve such success: Kelly Tripucka and Bob Lanier.

The Knicks and Pistons will meet in the playoffs for the first time since 1992, with Patrick Ewing and his crew eliminating the original Bad Boys 3-2.

For the new Bad Boys who went 14-68 last season, the Pistons last played in the postseason during the 2018-19 season, where the Bucks swept them in the first round.
