Undisputed women’s junior lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner will make her debut with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions against undefeated champion Jennifer Miranda on July 11.

Hailing from Fremont, OH, and fighting out of Detroit, Baumgardner teamed up with another Ohio native, Jake Paul, to promote her boxing career.

Baumgardner signed with MVP in March and will make her return to the ring for the first time since Sept. 2024, when her fight with Delfine Persoon ended in a no-contest due to an accidental clash of heads that caused a significant cut over Persoon’s eye.
Baumgardner recently announced that she would add Derrick James, the 2023 Trainer of the Year, to her team.

Baumgardner’s stardom rose quickly after she defeated Terri Harper for the IBO and WBC women’s junior lightweight world titles in Nov. 2021.
A year later, she defeated Mikaela Mayer to collect the WBO and IBF titles, making her the undisputed queen of the division.
Baumgardner’s career stalled after testing positive for the banned substance mesterolone just days before her win over Christina Linardatou in July 2023.
In Jan. 2024, the WBC found Baumgardner not guilty of “intentionally” taking the banned substance.
Even after the WBC cleared her, major fight offers did not immediately come her way.
Baumgardner sought Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions to help revitalize her career.
“This is the biggest turning point of my career,” said Baumgardner at a pre-fight press conference. “You’re going to see amazing fights. You’re going to see the most of Alycia ‘The Bomb’ Baumgardner, and MVP is going to put that on the biggest stage.”
Miranda made her professional debut in 2018 and won her first 11 fights before getting the opportunity to fight for the interim title.

Last October, she defeated Teresa Almengor by unanimous decision to become the WBA interim super featherweight titleholder.
Miranda, 38, has fought exclusively in Spain and will get the opportunity to spoil Baumgardner’s MVP debut at a massive event inside MSG.
“Alycia Baumgardner is an incredible champion, but this is my opportunity to become the first ever undisputed champion from Spain and I will do so,” said Miranda. “It’s time to write my name in the history books of boxing. Undisputed.”
