The Detroit Lions added some depth to their defensive line after drafting edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein in the 6th round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Hassanein, who played for Boise State last year, was a full-time starter for the last two seasons.

In 28 games between 2023 and 2024, Hassanein totaled 32.0 tackles for loss and 22.0 sacks.
Hassanein grew up in Egypt, and only became familiar with the game in high school, according to ESPN.
