DETROIT – A pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates took a swing at a fan from the Comerica Park bullpen.
It happened during the second game of Thursday’s double header between the Pirates and Detroit Tigers.

Reliever Dennis Santana was in the visiting bullpen in the late innings of the game when cellphone video captured him jawing with a fan in the front row.
A security guard was standing right there, but Santana jumped up and swung at the fan, and he appeared to made contact, or at least come very close.
You can watch two angles in the viral videos below. The videos have already racked up hundreds of thousands of views.
The game picked up in intensity after a 75-minute rain delay in the bottom of the ninth. A close play at home plate went Pittsburgh’s way, which riled up Tigers fans, and then there was some drama with Tommy Pham, who is known to get into heated situations.
Ultimately, the Tigers lost 8-4 in 10 innings and had to settle for winning two of three in the series.
