DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers are telling teams that they are rebuilding and are trying to move more players before Thursday's trade deadline, according to reports.
The Tigers have already traded Justin Upton to the Angels for prospects.
Jon Morosi reports the team is in full sell mode ahead of the midnight waiver trade deadline Thursday night, with Justin Verlander, Shane Greene and Alex Wilson all in play.

Since the trade deadline passed, Verlander has done his best work of the season. He's 3-1 in August with 41 strikeouts in 36 innings. He's allowed just 23 hits, six walks and 10 runs over that span.
