New Live in the D premieres on Local 4

The premiere of the all-new "Live in the D" debuted this morning on Local 4 with new hosts Chuck Gaidica and Tati Amare. From the vibrant and colorful new set to the new 10 a.m. time slot, the show kicked off with veteran TV personality Gaidica setting the tone with his characteristic upbeat style.

Gaidica's new co-host from New York City, Tati Amare, told viewers that Detroit already feels like home. "People are nice and they're genuine," said Amare. She went on to say that people are delighted that Chuck is back. And that was confirmed by the on-screen tweets sent in during the show.

"‘Live in the D' is a very interactive and social show. We'll be live-tweeting the show on the ‘Live in the D' Twitter page where you can follow us at #LiveintheD. And you'll see a lot of behind-the-scenes pictures on our Facebook page," said Local 4's Social Media Producer Ken Haddad.  "We'll have awesome contests. We're going to be giving away gift cards, shopping sprees and all kinds of concert tickets," he added.

After the show, Gaidica and Amare reflected on their first show. "It feels like Tati and I have worked together for a long time" said Gaidica.

"I had jitters and nerves before we got in there but once we started talking I was fine," said Amare. "The guests were great, I mean, what more could you ask for?"

"Maybe this will be a way for people to wake up, think of us as family, we'll all get going with a cup of coffee, and be set on our day. You know, new information, fun and something really positive," Gaidica said.
