The men and women who work in trades are part of the backbone of Metro Detroit and the entire state of Michigan.
But right now, our state is facing a shortage of tradespeople, and it’s expected to last through 2030, according to Pure Michigan. The state believes there will be 45,000 openings in the skilled trades every year.
Local 4 is honoring those critical workers through our “Trade Up” brand, and also with a monthly award called the “Ace of Trades.”
