DETROIT – Longtime TV personality Chuck Gaidica announced on today’s “Live in the D” that he will be leaving the show after two years hosting the mid-morning talker on Local 4 and ClickOnDetroit.
Gaidica joined the lifestyle and entertainment program in September of 2015 when the show re-launched with new hosts and new focus.
“I’m a short timer, again,” Gaidica joked .“I’ve accepted the position of executive director at Hilltop Church as of September first.”
"I am melancholy about the decision to leave Live in the D," said Gaidica.
Gaidica is going to focus on ministry and being a force for good in our community. He is already the Community Ambassador for Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation and will be working with various baby boomer groups and speaking about the many issues affecting this active group across the metro area.
“Chuck has always been a person with a variety of interests and strong desire to do good in this community. Two years ago when he agreed to come back to the station to do ‘Live in the D’ I was thrilled. He’s part of the fabric of this station and this region,” said Vice-President and General Manager Marla Drutz.
Jason Carr and Tati Amare will continue to be the co-hosts of the show that airs and is streamed every weekday at 10am.
“Jason is such a popular personality in this market and has added his own brand of charm to the show while Tati is a fresh face who has jumped into living in and loving Detroit with such enthusiasm. I know ‘Live in the D’ will continue to grow and bring a smile to our viewers in the morning,” continued Drutz.
Gaidica’s last day is August 2.
