DETROIT – WDIV nets first place finishes in key newscasts, afternoon programming, access (7-8 p.m.) and late night programming in the February Nielsen ratings for Detroit (2/4 - 3/2).

Local 4 News First at 4 p.m. is #1 in the time period with a 5.3 household rating/13 household share beating both The Now Detroit (WXYZ 4 p.m.) (2.4 HH RTG/6 HH SHR) and Judge Judy (WJBK 4 p.m.) (4.3 HH RTG/11 HH SHR).
Local 4 News at 5 p.m. continues its six year winning streak and is #1 in the time period with a 7.0 household rating/15 share, beating both WXYZ (4.1 HH RTG/8 HH SHR) and WJBK (5.0 HH RTG/10 HH SHR). WDIV experienced double digit ratings growth over its November 2015 delivery in both Adults 25-54 (up 17%) and in Women 25-54 (up 15%). Conversely, WJBK experienced significant ratings erosion, down 19% in the A25-54 rating and down 26% in the Women 25-54 ratings, as compared to November 2015.
Local 4 News at 6 p.m. is #1 in household ratings, garnering an 8.0 rating/15 share compared to WXYZ (5.8 HH RTG/11 HH SHR) and WJBK (4.9 HH RTG/9 HH SHR). Local 4 News at 6 p.m., Detroit’s undisputed #1 newscast, wins in every key demographic as well, experiencing ratings and share growth ranging from 7-14%. Conversely, WJBK saw substantial erosion in their ratings from November, down 20% in the A25-54 RTG and down 26% in the W25-54 RTG.
Local 4 News at 11p.m. is Detroit’s #1 Late News and beat WJBK’s 10 p.m. news with a 7.0 household rating/14 household share as compared to WXYZ (5.6 HH RTG/11 HH SHR) and WJBK 10 p.m. (6.1 HH RTG/10 HH SHR) and WJBK 11 p.m. (6.6 HH RTG/11 HH SHR).
Local 4 News Today (M-F 6-7a.m.), anchored by Rhonda Walker, Evrod Cassimy, Brandon Roux and Kim DeGiulio beats WXYZ in the key Women 25-54 demographic, finishing February with a 2.4 (W25-54 RTG/15 W25-54 SHR).
In other dayparts, WDIV’s Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! are #1 across all key demographics in the all-important access time period of 7-8 p.m., averaging an 8.1 HH RTG/14 SHR.
The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is #1 in the 11:35 p.m. time period, beating ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel by 36%.
