Alicia Barrera is a KSAT 12 News reporter and anchor. She is also a co-host of the streaming show KSAT News Now.
Before joining KSAT in November of 2018, she reported along the Texas-Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley for Telemundo 40.
Alicia is no stranger to San Antonio, though. She first moved here in 2010 as an undergraduate at Our Lady of the Lake University to study mass communications and Spanish.
Alicia also freelanced for Univision 41 and Telemundo 60 before leaving to the Rio Grande Valley.
Alicia is a first-generation Mexican-American fluent in both Spanish and English. She enjoys reading books, traveling solo across Mexico and spending time with family.
