The start of 2025 could be a potentially mild and active couple of months to start the new year.

Saturday looks to be an alright-looking day, but it will be cold. Highs will struggle to get into the lower 20s in the afternoon.

Get your shovels ready as snow is moving in and will be adding up across Southeast Michigan.

Metro Detroit is expected to get at least 1-2 inches of snow by Friday evening.

After a couple of flakes Wednesday, accumulating snow is on the way to end the week. And yes this snow is the type that you’ll have to move with either a shovel or a snowblower.

As we approach the holiday weekend, more data is confirming what will happen over the coming days, but there remain some minor uncertainties.
