From the West Coast to the Midwest, Ty Steele has worked at several major market television stations before finally calling Detroit home in 2024.
He graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Washington in Seattle. He worked at numerous online and newspaper agencies in the city to pay his way through college.
He is a five-time Regional Emmy Award-winning journalist for breaking news, best newscasts, and as Anchor of the Year in 2023.
He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and four daughters -- ages 4, 6, 8 and 10.
