A 13-year-old girl was shot in the foot on Detroit’s east side, police said.

Police are asking for the public to help provide information on a shooting that left a 13-year-old girl injured.

Police say a teenager has died after an all-terrain vehicle crash at sand dunes in northern Michigan.

The actions of a ATV driver led officers on a brief chase throughout Southeast Detroit.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two children and their father were taken to the hospital after an ATV crash in Macomb County. The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Wren and Cardinals streets in Shelby Township, according to authorities. Police said two children, ages nine and 12, were riding the ATV with their father when it slammed into a home on Cardinal Street near 22 Mile and Shelby roads. Officials believe the driver of the ATV was speeding on Wren Street and lost control in the dark at Cardinal Street and struck a house. “I had to make sure that kid was OK.”The crash investigator for Shelby Township police was worried the children might not survive.

SOUTHGATE, Mich. – Samantha Witechowsky, 15, was killed in a Traverse City ATV crash over the weekend. She has been described as a remarkable student at Southgate Anderson High School. DELTA COUNTY, Mich. - An 84-year-old man died Saturday when he lost control and crashed his all-terrain vehicle in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. According to officials, Charles Edward Dedic was riding his ATV on his property near Rock. An investigation showed that the ATV rolled over and Dedic was ejected from it. He was pinned under the vehicle in a water hole, officials said. Because of the rough terrain, a DNR patrol truck transported Dedic while authorities tried to save him.
