On Friday, a driver struck and killed two pedestrians and then fled the scene, according to Michigan State Police. The crash happened Friday after 4 p.m. in the area of Milan Oakville and Gooding roads on the border of Washtenaw and Monroe counties. An investigation by police revealed a vehicle struck two pedestrians then fled the scene. The area will be shut down temporarily while police investigate the scene. An intoxicated driver shot at a person trying to help after a crash Thursday in Washtenaw County, police said. According to police, the man crashed his vehicle on Rawsonville Road, south of Bemis Road, in Augusta Township about 4:45 p.m. When someone tried to help, the man fired shots and tried to flee on foot, police said. The man was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
