Construction in lanes, alleys and sidewalks will start Monday as part of an infrastructure improvement project by the City of Ann Arbor Information Technology department.

Building on the success of the 2020 A2AC Murals project, the Art Center’s new campaign, A2AC Art in Public, aims to raise $50,000.

The Ann Arbor Art Center is looking for artists, architects, designers and engineers for its new alleyway mural project.

DETROIT – Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan said he has a plan to clear out 2,000 alleys in the city this year. This year we’re gonna do it 2,000 more times,” Duggan said. “If you have a block club and you want to petition for an alley clean up, we’ll come do it. But you, as neighbors, are gonna have to go through twice a year and do a follow-up,” Duggan said. “If you want your alley cleaned up, you can apply right now and we will get to you this year.
