Temperatures rise to summer-like values today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. There is risk for these storms to become severe. It remains wet as we cool off tonight. Tomorrow and the rest of this week will have lower temperatures.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected to move through Southeast Michigan on Sunday afternoon and into the nighttime hours, and those storms could pose some hazards.

It still feels like summer today, and showers and thunderstorms are possible ahead of a cold front. After the front passes, it becomes cooler tonight and tomorrow and chillier mid-week.

Mother Nature always makes a suspenseful appearance at the Tigers’ home opener, and today was no exception.

On-and-off showers gradually dwindle while we sleep and redevelop after we wake up Friday. The Detroit Tigers’ home opener will definitely be chilly and probably go through periods of wetness and dryness.

The first half of this weekend will be chilly. The second half and early next week will be milder.

Showers subside into the evening or tonight. More wet weather arrives for tomorrow and the Tigers home opener the day afterward.

The better chance of rain consistent across our region will be Wednesday, starting with part of the morning commute.

Tuesday is the most gorgeous day of the entire workweek. The grass is getting greener under fuzzy sunshine. Also, it is milder with above-average temperatures around for midweek.

Higher temps arrive mid-week after and during icy and wet weather.

Monday will be mostly to partly sunny and milder. Afternoon temperatures reach the upper 50s to near 60°F.

After a gorgeous afternoon, Sunday evening will be lovely and cooler. Dinnertime temperatures will be near 50°F. The first night of spring will be chilly under a starry, moonlit sky.

After springing forward one hour, getting some snow and feeling some sunshine, this evening will be chilly with some clouds overhead.

Winter is clearly not done with Detroit, yet. Tonight will be frigid as we “Spring Forward” one hour, and more snow arrives in the morning. As soon as flakes stop falling, temps rise above freezing. More melting is likely early next week with milder conditions.

We have a mix of sun, clouds and snow this evening. Snowflakes will fade as it gets darker, and it becomes more frigid again.

Sunday night becomes colder, with some clouds overhead. Monday, the last day of February, will be colder than average, with filtered sunshine much of the day. March′s first and second days will be warmer than average.

A cold front moves through the region Sunday evening. It’s weak enough to provide a few scattered snow flurries closer to Lake Huron and strong enough to send temperatures plummeting after sunset.

Sunday night will be mostly cloudy, with scattered flurries or light snow showers.

Higher temperatures gradually return for the first part of next week. Then, we get a better chance of snow and lower temperatures afterward.

Friday afternoon will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny and very cold. Lake-effect snow is possible in our North Zone, closer to Lake Huron. The chance of snowflakes hitting the ground exists in Sanilac, St. Clair and northern Macomb counties.

Friday afternoon will be 5-10 degrees colder than average, but with abundant sunshine. Highs will be in the low 20s to near 25 degrees.

We have more wonderful weather on our hands. Even with the increase in clouds, it remains dry, with temperatures above average.

Aside from a few wispy cirrus clouds, Monday has been sunny and spectacular.

Sunday night will have high and mid-level clouds cruising overhead. It becomes chillier, then those cloud are out of here in time for Monday’s sunrise.
