The early closure is due to COVID-19 positive test results received by liveries employees who were pre-symptomatic while working on Sept. 5-6. On Monday, Sept. 7, the City of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation announced a temporary closure of the liveries after an employee received a positive COVID-19 test result. Liveries employees have been required to wear masks and follow other safety protocols. The liveries temporarily closed for around two weeks in July after two employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The Ann Arbor District Library announced on Thursday that its downtown Ann Arbor branch would be closed between Friday, July 31, and Aug. 13. The library branch is closing so that staff can quarantine for two weeks after a downtown library staff member tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement released by AADL Director Josie Parker. Items scheduled for pickup at the branch will be unavailable during the two-week closure. Items cannot be moved to other branches and will become available again once the downtown branch reopens. The four other AADL branches will remain open for contactless pickup for library items.

Team members were able to get an idea of the changes they needed to make, they just had to come up with ways of making them from home. (Toyota)The Ann Arbor team also had to switch to a paperless approval system to move the changes along faster. Members of the Ann Arbor team would work in tandem with teams in Indiana who could go into the plant and show the Ann Arbor engineers specific parts of the vehicle.

The Ark, Neutral Zone, Youth Arts Alliance, Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and 826michigan have each received a $10,000 grant from the COVID-19 Arts and Creative Community Assistance Fund. In partnership with CultureSource, the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan awarded the grants to help organizations with financial pressures resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding was supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, DeRoy Testamentary Foundation, Ford Foundation, Kresge Foundation, Leinweber Foundation, Max M. and Marjorie S. Owner Ilze Meija-Ham said that clients drive from up an hour away in order to visit the Ann Arbor salon. The Wheels in Motion has been repairing bikes from around Ann Arbor since the end of April. Over the course of its long history in Ann Arbor, the bike shop has been involved in community events and organizations.
