ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Expect delays next Monday when two new road closures in downtown Ann Arbor begin. Northwest-bound traffic will use Maiden Lane to access Broadway Street, Plymouth Road or Moore Street. At 9 a.m. the same day, East William Street between South Main Street and South Fourth Avenue will close for ten days for road work. Eastbound traffic on West William Street will be detoured to South Main Street, Packard Street, South Fourth Avenue and onto East William Street. Traffic coming in the opposite direction will do the reverse by detouring to South Fourth Avenue, Packard Street, South Main Street and then to West William Street.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Starting Monday, numerous road closures will begin impacting traffic around Ann Arbor and will continue through November. Closures include the intersection on Miller Avenue and First Street, and parts of West Madison Street, South Fifth Avenue, Holl Street, South Division Street and East Hoover Avenue. To avoid the intersection, westbound Miller Avenue traffic will be detoured to Main Street then westbound on Huron Street to Seventh Street and back to Miller Avenue. Traffic heading east will experience the reverse by being detoured to Seventh Street, eastbound on Huron Street to Main Street and then back to Miller Avenue. Construction closures on West Madison Street, South Fifth Avenue, Holl Street, South Division Street and East Hoover Avenue are scheduled to be closed through 5 p.m. on Nov. 30.

According to the City of Ann Arbor, a portion of Miller Avenue will be closed all day this Saturday. Pedestrian traffic will use the northeast side of Maiden Lane and will not be detoured. Southwest-bound traffic on Plymouth Road intending to access southeast bound Maiden Lane will turn right on Moore Street; then left on Pontiac Trail; then follow southbound Pontiac Trail to Swift Street; then left onto Broadway Street; right onto Wall Street to Island Drive; then turn right onto Maiden Lane. Northeast-bound North Division Street and northeast-bound Broadway Street intending to access southeast-bound Maiden Lane will turn right on Wall Street; continue to Island Drive; then turn right on Maiden Lane. Pedestrian traffic will have access on the northeast side of Maiden Lane and will not need to follow a pedestrian detour.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Between Wednesday and Saturday this week, five projects around the city will impact Ann Arbor traffic with road closures and detours. The contractor will maintain westbound Victors Way traffic and use flagging operations to control two-way traffic on Victors Way east of Boardwalk Drive. From Tuesday to Thursday, the section of Miller Avenue intersecting with First Street will be closed due to construction. The construction is part of the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authoritys First and Ashley Improvements Project. Westbound traffic will be detoured southbound on Main Street to westbound on Huron Street to northbound on Seventh Street to Miller Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured southbound on Seventh Street to eastbound on Huron Street to northbound on Main Street to Miller Avenue. Local traffic will be maintained between Seventh Street and First Street and between First Street and Main Street.
